Grameen Telecom has also planned to build an international standard hospital to ensure affordable healthcare to the people of the country which will have all kinds of medical facilities. At present it has been finalized for the institution of 500 bed hospital and 700 seat medical college. The hospital has been designed by one of the world's most renowned US-based mass design companies, which is awaiting final approval from Rajuk. Also, through Grameen Healthcare Services Ltd., Grameen Telecom has established Caledonion Nursing College at Diabari, Uttara from which trained nurses are passing out every year and making huge contribution to the health care sector of the country.
