Grameen Knitwear Ltd. was incorporated as a 100% Export Oriented Knit Garment Company under the Companies Act, 1994 in Dhaka Export Processing Zone, Extension-2 on 5th November 1997. Company Registration No.—C-34208 (954)/97 with Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms (RJSC). The commercial operation of the factory started on November 22, 1999.
